Gina is sharing…
How my kidney donor found me…. Just want to give you guys and update. It’s been quite a bit since I’ve updated this blog. Recently we made a video and it’s below.
Video premiered at Spark 2023 Closing Day.
My amazing donor and I have made it our mission to encourage others to get educated about living organ donation, become an advocate for your own health journey and how the IGAN Foundation created a Spark in 2022 led us to this moment.
My kidney transplant is scheduled currently for August 22, 2023, at University of Kansas Medical Center and Gina Krysl (an amazing human) is donating her kidney to me. Her daughter has the same disease as I do and is fortunately very stable with lots of therapies on the horizon. It’s taken a village and it’s taken an incredible amount of luck and work to get to where we are. There are currently over 90,000 people waiting for transplants. Please consider sharing this story far and wide. Thank you to AnzyZMedia.com for the video and my big family at the IGAN Foundation for all of their support making this video as well.
My living donor and me!
Of course, there is much to catch you up on since last I posted. I’ll make every effort to circle back and tell you how we got here.
We’ll know more about details around the Transplant after the 1st of August…. but if you have suggestions or tips for either of us…. please use the comments!
